“I was 33-34 and very lonely,” Shahid confessed. “I would win awards, come back home, and share them with my dog. That’s when I realised I needed someone to share my life with.” The actor said he was open to settling down but worried about finding someone who could understand the contrasting sides of his life—his spiritual discipline and glamorous film career.
That’s when he met Mira, then 20 years old. “At first, I was semi-embarrassed. I thought she was too young,” Shahid admitted. “But as we spoke, I saw how mature and self-assured she was. She understood both parts of me.”
Their relationship, according to Shahid, has grown through shared experiences, especially parenthood. “You go through many phases and grow together. There are times you don’t understand each other, but with communication, the bond becomes stronger.”
